Irish month in full swing with a great weekend ahead of us.  Nationally touring bare-knuckled irish rockers shilelagh law will be performing live this Friday night to a packed house.  Then on Saturday Mulcahy’s presents UFC 158 on 10 giant screens followed by DMS of Tune~adiks spinning all night at Southbar.  SUnday brings us to the best day of the year, St. Paddy’s day and the first annual long island leprecon featuring dueling pianos at 1pm and big shot live at 4pm . . you’ll need to sleep for a week to recover after this irish weekend.

Our favorite month of the year is approaching.  We have some great concerts lined up and a lot of fun in store.  Great irish rock bands like Seanchai & the Unity Squad on March 8th and Shilelagh Law on March 15th.  Join us for the 1st annual long island Leprecon on March 17th featuring Duleing Pianos at 1pm and Big Shot at 4pm

We have a great weekend planned for you.  Friday night features Grateful Dead tribute band Half Step followed by HAM at 11pm.  On Saturday we have the historic UFC 157 live on 10 giant screens.  After UFC the dance floor erupts with Z100′s DJ Spinbad performing all night.  Every Saturday features $3 bottled beer and drinks.

“Just One”

So often we may think of ourselves as just one of billions of people on earth and because of the numbers, we just don’t matter too much. Think Again!  Jesus died for each of us so that we might merit everlasting happiness in heaven.  Each person therefor has inestimable worth because we are loved and redeemed by the Lord Jesus.

Again, because of the numbers in our population, we may think of ourselves as inconsequential or of little influence.  Think again!  Each person has the capacity to influence events, thinking and direction even in a small way, if the effort is put forth.  Think of some slight contributions you may have made in somebody’s life and you can see the potential of multiplication.

Each of us has the capacity and ability to influence events around us if we have the desire and energy to do so.  Rather than let ‘undesirables’ lead the way, why don’t people of stature, integrity and proven quality step in and help set the standards and way of life.  It can be done by just one person but it can more easily be done by a multitude of persons exercising influence.  No matter how small the result, at least that particular endeavor will be better because of the effort.

of starfish,” says the man looking around.  ”Throwing back a few dozen won’t
